I drank a bunch of Tullamore last night and played the best game of Marble Madness of my whole life. WHISKEY MAKES YOU BETTER AT THINGS. especially driving.

Have you ever been to Barcade? What is your high score?

I’ve only heard stories of the fabled barcade. I don’t know my scores off the top of my head… and my NES cart is so old it doesn’t save them anymore. But last night… I actually BEAT THE GAME. that has never happened before.

Aoooh. The arcade game is definitely more difficult. My friend’s secret is whiskey, too. But neither he nor my boyfriend can get into the top 4…which all have scores that seem impossible!!!!!

yeah I’ve played the arcade version once with the trackball… what a miserable time THAT is.

the hangover is absolutely fucking hilarious. seriously, go watch it. now. seriously.

Everyone needs to see Star Wars. I totally nerded out about Star Wars today. Someone mentioned the “Jedi symbol” in the conversation and I held back the urge to correct him and say, “You mean the Rebel Alliance’s symbol?” Luke was the only Jedi to wear that logo (unless you consider the post-ROTJ storyline to be canon to the films). /nerd rant.

Star Wars and Wall-E are must see movies, and give Peter Pan a viewing. You would be a better person if you continued to never view any of the others on that list.

ok this is one of my pet peeves. when people say they’ve “never” seen a movie that is less than a year old. It’s not exactly a classic. it’s not “never” seen… it’s “not yet” seen. Star Wars is a “never seen” movie… the hangover is a “not yet seen” movie… you haven’t seen it YET.

i love that building face… i really wish there were more small theaters like this still around. ours almost closed this summer because of finances. my best movie experiences have been in small theaters. people should appreciate them more

Yeah I love it. It’s been around since the twenties. We need new seats tho. It still has the same seats as when it was an AMC for a few years. Also my booth is so old and awesome. the lighting is a series of light-bulbs with pull-chains.

sounds like ours, the oldest projection booth still has the toilet and sink from when they locked the projectionist in there in case of fire. We got new seats about a year ago patrons helped pay for a seat and get their names on them in return . we still had the old used seats that were installed when the place was reopened by Kimball.

There are two ghosts haunting the place too that always makes for good times.

haha I’ve never met a projectionist without a ghost story. I personally still have an irrational fear of the dark…. go figure.
